Is it possible to collect emotions from text? What's the point? How to distinguish emotion from emotivity?
To the first, I would answer: We are always looking for emotions, we are always looking to create emotions, to infer signs from them, to express them in a deep and simple way... The text could show somehow the feelings of someone...
To the second, I would answer that words translate, communicate what happens to the soul in a more ou less efficient way, depending on various factors, inclusive, the sender's vocabulary. They come from the button of the personal choices that emerge from the reaction of the living being towards the world. They could be an interesting source of knowledge about the human being or merely an artwork...
To the third one, I can't answer yet... Perhaps the emotion belongs to the sender of the message and the emotivity lays on something else wearable...

the idea

What does the Internet feel or how do the words online look like?

As never before so many words are being written at every second around the world; huge amounts of data that should mean something more than what they are individually. This project aims through visualization to cast some light on the words people are writing while opening their minds across the blogosphere.

The web...

... of colours starts right now after a whole year working, reading, writing about the web, about its communicational power and its source of unmeasurable data.
